Today, the ARMDOCT program members were hosted at the Philip Morris Research Center (PMIScience) and had the opportunity to get acquainted with the center’s activities, as well as research projects. The head of the center Mariam Davtyan presented the research programs, which are implemented with the company’s funding and conducted by the research groups, as well as doctorate and master’s students of universities and research organizations.

The visit was carried out within the framework of the second working package of the ARMDOCT program, which aims at developing a new national doctoral education policy, legal framework facilitating cooperation between universities, research institutes, industry, as well as internationalization of doctoral education, integration into the European Higher Research Area (ERA).

The existing issues and challenges of the system were discussed, possible solutions and options for cooperation were outlined. An agreement was reached to present the center’s activities to project members and other beneficiaries as one of the best examples currently available in the country.
