We continue the implementation of the second work package (WP2) of the “Reforming Doctoral Education in Armenia in Line with Needs of Academia, Industry and Current EU Practices” ARMDOCT Project.

The ARMDOCT project team had a meeting at the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports to align the project’s upcoming activities with the MESCS timeline and plans. During the discussion with Robert Sukiasyan (Head of the Department for Higher and Postgraduate Professional Education of the MESCS), as well as Samvel Karabekyan (Adviser to the Minister), it was agreed to form separate tasks forces for the development of the DE national policy, as well as the regulatory framework.

The directions for the task force were confirmed as follows: (i) State policy on doctoral education, (ii) Admission to doctoral programmes, (iii) Organising doctoral programmes, (iv) Awarding degrees in doctoral programmes, (v) Ensuring the link between science and economy.
